Hmmm, you have a good memory. I can't even remember why I signed up on here. All I know is that this forum is by far my favourite. At the time my experience with forums was vast, I had been a prominent member on New Age Gaming and PC Format South Africa, and then I was a member concurrently with another little forum started by one of the former members of PCF and NAG that I was already on, I left NAG when they deleted the forum and since then the guy in charge has wiped it like 5 times probably, not a good move, it totally killed the community over there.

Now the only two forums I ever go to are KG and HH. Of course I only go to KG like once every 3 months but I still visit just to say hi.

    Omegadrivers!

With one exception, I have ONLY owned and used ATI/AMD graphics cards since having a PC. The one exception was the very first upgrade card I bought and that was a StealthPro. I actually still have that card, too! But, with the prospect of TV/video capture, my next card was an AIW card from ATI.

Then, somehow, I came across Rage3D. After some time there, I believe it was digitalwanderer who suggested that a new site was coming up and directed me to Driverheaven. The rest, as they say, is history.

Thanks for reminding me Dyre!!! I remember why I joined DH now, I was looking for help on how to flash my ATi Radeon 9500 non Pro into a Pro, and in case you were wondering yes I was successful in the end.

I was looking for a mobility modder and ATI drivers too, I recall those days. And of course Trolls...there were many.

haha it is funny you guys mention it. Especially the Omegadrivers (are they still alive?).
They were a step up from the official ones from ATI and I would always grab those whenever they brought out new ones! There was just a noticable difference in stability and performance. Just as you guys, that was how I first came to Driverheaven and signed up for an account.

Does anyone remember Zeropoint drivers? Were they ever completed? And does anyone remember trying them? Were they as good as Omegadrivers?

That's right. I remember now what it was that I was trying to accomplish. I was trying to flash my Radeon 8800 to a 9200 or something like that. I remember that the person who had the avatar I posted earlier had the write-up on how to do it. Unfortunately for me, I was just a kid back then still in high school and my only income for building my PC at the time as well as buying parts was my allowance my dad gave me for my good grades. Which meant, I only got an allowance twice a school year on top of birthday and Christmas money.

Additionally, the first case I got was called "Pac-Man" by the store I bought it from because the power button was "Pac-Man" looking. So, I'm sure many of you remember that when I first signed up here, my username was "Pac-Man" :)

    EDIT:

While this was not my exact case (I can't find a picture of the case I owned), this was the case I'm talking about.

I didn't realize any of the status indications were auto-generated. I've created my own for quite a few years now. :)

AND, BTW, just found out on Thanksgiving Day that #10 is to be another boy. :)
