It appears Microsoft has mixed feelings about the Zune. The Redmond giant denied that the Zune was dying earlier today when the device page was taken down from Zune.net, even going as far as stating to the media that the move was a mistake.

Now, a page on the Zune support page confirms the Zune HD's fate, with the company stating "going forward, Windows Phone will be the focus of our mobile music and video strategy, and that we will no longer be producing Zune players."

I never saw one in person. Not in Greece, not in the UK, not even in Switzerland. Ever. I guess it was USA only product?

I do remember how the shit colour, I mean the brown one, looked. I liked it. At least from the photos.

R.I.P. Zune, we hardly knew ye.

It was an American only product that had really good reviews but the market for dedicated media players is being replaced by mobile phones so no point in carrying on with it.

Next time they should try more markets than a single country, even if that country is the USA.

Not all people want to have their mobile phones as a media player. I know I don't. :)
